Weekly devlog #28 - New trading system
Hey everyone! This week has been very busy! The original plan was to add the marketplace to the game, but I have decided to postpone it. Most likely it is not gonna make it for the alpha release, but it will be added soon after. I really don't wanna delay the update and I feel like if I try to add the marketplace it won't be ready on time.
New trading system
Despite all of that, I still added the new currency to the game: Realm Tokens. This new currency can be used inside trades and can be bought from the store for crystal shards. In the future there will also be items that you can buy with it.
This also seemed like a good time to upgrade the existing trading system. The old one was very clunky, and I basically made it very quickly just to be able to support basic trading. Heres how the new trading system looks like:

Crystal realms is finally getting a new wood type! While I could have just recolored all of the oak wood items to be a different color, I actually prefer giving each wood type some unique textures and blocks.
That's it for this week! There is more stuff that I have been working on, but I think I wanna keep that secret for the alpha release trailer.
