Weekly devlog #10 - QOL improvements

Hi everyone! This week I have been mostly adding QOL improvements, and a few new items.

New items
The first item I added is the entrance scissors. These scissors allow you to change the entrance of the world, by cutting a hole through space and time itself.

Then there are these new lanterns:

These new copper lamp backgrounds are very useful for lighting up your world. You can place them behind any block, so you can use it to hide your light sources. Perfect for if you want a world that is brightly lit.

And lastly, this rare bouncy mushroom:

I have added a few more items, but I prefer to keep those a secret for now.

New world generation

I have redesigned how the top of the regular "forest world" generates. Now there are a few different "biomes". Here are some of those biomes:
Flower forest

Flower field

Sunflower field

Mushroom forest

Quality of life changes
I have added a few quality of life changes. Most of them were suggested by players in the discord server. Here is a list of those changes:

  • Windows are now more see through (suggested by weeping_spirit)
  • Destroying more then 255 items at once (suggested by jrc)
  • Player facing direction of placing/destroying (suggested by strangebasil)
  • The direction of a placed block matches the direction the player is facing (suggested by simvoid)
  • Confirm shop purchases (suggested by doctadoom, I actually did this last devlog)
  • Seeing when other players take damage
  • Moderators are no longer ban-able from a world by regular players (bug found by braise)
  • You are not able to attack passive mobs in someone else's world
  • You are no longer able to pick up enemies with a jar in someone else's world
  • You are no longer able to spawn entities in someone else's world with an entity in a jar
  • You are no longer able to heal infected frogs in someone else's world

That's it for this weeks devlog. Thanks for reading!
